Job Summary:
As a Performance Test Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating application speed, scalability, and stability under varying workloads. You will design performance test scenarios, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to optimize performance across web and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute performance, load, and stress tests using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling
- Monitor application performance metrics under test scenarios
- Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide optimization suggestions
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and QA teams to troubleshoot issues
- Prepare performance test plans, reports, and documentation
- Continuously improve performance testing frameworks and processes
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and metrics
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, or BlazeMeter
- Familiarity with HTTP/S, APIs, SQL, and server logs
- Ability to simulate virtual users, configure test scripts, and analyze test runs
- Good knowledge of system architecture, databases, and web application infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in performance testing or software QA
- Experience with cloud-based performance testing tools is a plus
- Knowledge of CI/CD and automation integration preferred
