As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a skilled Node.js Backend Developer to join our engineering team and build high-performance server-side applications.
Job Summary:
As a Backend Developer – Node.js, you’ll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing backend services that power modern web and mobile applications. You’ll work with APIs, databases, and security protocols to build scalable applications used by global clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop backend components using Node.js and Express.js
- Build and consume RESTful and GraphQL APIs
- Integrate databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- Optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Implement authentication/authorization protocols (JWT, OAuth, etc.)
- Collaborate with frontend developers and DevOps for smooth deployments
- Debug, test, and document backend code
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript (ES6+), and Express.js
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with Git, API tools (Postman), and version control workflows
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, or serverless environments is a plus
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and async programming
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 2+ years of backend development experience using Node.js
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is an advantage
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira/Trello
